We will be reviewing the new restaurant beverage program ordinance, the short term rental ordinance, election plans and expenditures, support for the Cheremoya ArtFest and homeless services and reports from standing committees.
The meeting will address Committee goals. It will have updates on the Gershwin Apartments, the Villa Carlotta’s valet parking concerns and the 1807 Van Ness Upstart project. It will discuss the results of Proposition 10, the feasibility of creating a map of rental complexes larger than 4 units throughout the HUNC region and possible items that the Renters & Housing Committee should follow in City, County and State governments
This will be the first meeting of the Homelessness & Social Services Committee. It will offer a brief discussion of terms and ideas utilized by people working in social services and advocacy and the goals for the Committee. It will discuss survey possibilities and the possibility of a homelessness forum. Additionally, it will consider compiling encampment locations for an eventual map and the feasibility of a rental, placement and maintenance of large trash bins to be utilized at the Gower & 101 overpass encampment. There will be a presentation of a draft for possible ‘The Shower of Hope’ handout. Finally, there will be a discussion of programs and Homelessness expenditure ideas.
We will be discussing the Cheremoya Elementary ArtFest, review of Gramercy/Garfield Watch Pumpkin Faire, discuss improvements to the HUNC website and information system and Identify new outreach opportunities.
The PLUM Committee will review a project on Tuxedo Terrace, code compliance for Upstart at 1807 Van Ness, affordable housing requirements, the Villa Carlotta and illegal hostels.
