The City is beginning its listening sessions on reforming the City of Los Angeles’ Charter.

The Charter Reform Commission is a group of individuals appointed to review and propose changes to the City of Los Angeles City Charter which serves as the City’s constitution.  It’s THE FOUNDATIONAL legal document that lays out how the City operates, including the power of elected officials, the structure of government departments and the process by which the City conducts its business.

In short, EVERYTHING.
