A film permit has been approved allowing Park Place Productions to conduct limited filming activity in the area surrounding the Hollywood Sign. All filming and interdepartmental coordination are being managed by FilmLA and the Mayor’s Liaison to the Film and Television Industry.
Filming Dates
Friday, February 6 through Sunday, February 8
*The production company has expressed a strong commitment to ending filming activities as soon as they capture the needed footage. Filming may not extend through the weekend.
Filming Activities
Filming will take place from a helicopter capturing aerial footage of the Hollywood Sign. In support of this activity, a small crew will be positioned within Lake Hollywood Park to illuminate the Hollywood Sign from a considerable distance. Lighting will be brief and limited to periods when the helicopter film crew is actively capturing footage.
Every effort will be made to minimize disruption to local residents and traffic control officers will assist with maintaining access and ensuring safety throughout the filming period.
