CD4, in partnership with the Los Angeles Department of Recreation and Parks and the Los Angeles Bureau of Engineering, is hosting an upcoming community open house about the Griffith Park Pool project on Thursday, March 19th, at 6:00 pm. The meeting will be held at the Griffith Park Visitor Center Auditorium and is an opportunity to come together, explore the in-progress designs, and learn more about what’s ahead for the pool.
The Municipal Plunge, built in 1927 and once the largest aquatic facility in Los Angeles, has been closed since 2020 due to significant repairs needed to the foundation. Designed by Perkins Eastman, the project includes a reconstruction of the pool and updates to the historic pool house.
The meeting will provide updates, and give stakeholders a chance to share their thoughts, and continue the effort to collaboratively to shape a space that will serve the community for years to come!
