An important opportunity to receive up to $10,000 in grant aid to retrofit your home for seismic safety is coming to an end October 1 from the California Residential Mitigation Program (CRMP). This Seismic retrofit program offers up to $3,000 for older homes and includes rentals, win an additional $7,000 for qualifying applications.
The open registration expands eligibility to include non-primary residential properties, giving landlords and other property owners the opportunity to apply for seismic retrofit grants to strengthen wood-framed, homes built before 1980 with raised foundations against earthquake damage.
