LADOT is launching a Speed Safety Systems Program Pilot to reduce dangerous speeding and improve street safety across the city. If approved, the pilot would install up to 125 speed safety systems at selected locations citywide. Community feedback will play an important role in shaping how the program is implemented.

In the CD4 district in particular, nine locations have been chosen to be a part of this pilot, including four in the Hollywood Hills:

  • N Western Ave between Franklin Ave and Los Feliz Blvd ;
  • N Highland Ave between Franklin Pl and Camrose Dr ;
  • Franklin Ave between Cheremoya Ave and Tamarind Ave ; and
  • Hollywood Blvd between N Vista St and Camino Palmero St ;

A 30-day public review and comment period began on February 11. This is an opportunity to share your input. Angelenos are encouraged to review the proposal and submit public comments to help ensure the program reflects neighborhood needs and supports the shared goal of safer streets for everyone.
