GENERAL PUBLIC COMMENT ON NON AGENDA ITEMS

Comments from the public on Agenda items will be heard only when the respective item is being considered. Public comment is limited to 2 minutes per speaker, for a maximum of 20 minutes total for Public comment, unless waived by the presiding officer of the Board. AB361 Updates: Public comment cannot be required to be submitted in advance of the meeting, only real-time public comment is required. If there are any broadcasting interruptions that prevent the public from observing or hearing the meeting, the meeting must be recessed or adjourned. December: TBA - Discuss and motion to support purchasing plain, dark, multiple size sweatshirts from Goodwill or discount retailer for distribution at Hollywood Food Coalition for up to $500.00, approximate quantity 50.
- Update on Vaccine Clinic
- Discussion and motion to support up to $200 for promoting a holiday socks, underwear drive with collection points at retailers such as Petco, Marshalls, Franklin Village to encourage HUNC neighborhoods to donate for people experiencing homeless. Distributed through Hollywood Food Coalition. Estimated budget up to $200 for some large trash bins that we create HUNC signage on for the drive.
- Discuss and motion to support that HUNC write a Community Impact Statement in support of CF 21-1042 (introduced by Councilmembers Koretz, de León, and Raman) that would help move Los Angeles toward carbon neutrality by 2030 and encourage neighborhood councils to each provide at least two Cool Block leaders in order to implement climate change mitigation efforts at the local level.
