Each year, LAHSA conducts a Homeless Count with help from volunteers like you! LAHSA supplements the street count with institutional counts, demographic surveys, a youth count, and statistical analyses.

This data is critical in measuring our successes, informing policies, and allocating funding to help fight the homelessness crisis.

The Count helps us better understand homelessness in the region and direct resources where they’re needed most. At least 8,000 volunteers are needed to canvas more than 80 cities and 200 communities across the County.

The count will be January 22-24.
